Bourbon Beef

Whether you're hosting a backyard barbecue, a Sunday family feast, or just treating yourself to some down-home comfort, Bourbon Beef  brings the spirit of the South to your table. This mouthwatering dish is like a party for your taste buds, featuring tender beef slices drenched in a bourbon-infused sauce that'll have you dancing with joy.

Start by searing the chuck roast to add depth of flavor. Heat on a hot grill or with olive oil in a large skillet or in a cast iron pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, sear the roast on all sides until it's nicely browned. This should take about 3-4 minutes per side.

Once the roast is seared, transfer it to a slow cooker. Sprinkle with 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, then salt and black pepper to taste. Pour honey or brown sugar over the roast.

Pour in beef broth or beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, and bourbon. If you want a little heat, add a little bit of red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper. Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on LOW heat for 6-8 hours or until the chuck roast is fork-tender and falls apart easily. Alternatively, you can cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours.

Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary. When the chuck roast is tender and the sauce is thickened, shred the meat or chop into chunks, allowing it to soak up the delicious bourbon sauce. Serve over rice, noodles, or on buns and enjoy!
