Crockpot BBQ Chicken Cornbread

We're about to take your taste buds on a smoky, savory journey with our BBQ Chicken Cornbread Crockpot recipe. Imagine the aroma of tender, juicy chicken slow-cooked to perfection, mingling with the rich flavors of cornbread, all infused with the irresistible smokiness of barbecue sauce.

– 4 chicken breasts, cubed – 1 cup bbq sauce – 1 box cornbread mix (plus ingredients on back of box) – 1/2 red onion, diced – 1/2 to 1 cup cheese, shredded (cheddar, colby, mexican)

Spray the slow cooker with nonstick spray. In a medium bowl, stir together diced chicken, red onion, and barbecue sauce. Pour into slow cooker.

Mix cornbread mix, according to box. Spread over the top of the chicken. Cover and cook on high 4 hours or low for 8 hours.

Once cornbread is done, (check the center with a toothpick) sprinkle 1/2 to 1 cup of shredded cheese over the top. Cook until cheese is melted. Scoop and serve hot!.
