Easy Cranberry Sauce

Instead of buying a jellied can, try making this fresh cranberry sauce.  It is so much better overall.  It is full of flavor, looks better and has a nice texture.

Ingredients

– 12 oz fresh cranberries – 1 cup granulated sugar – 1 cup orange juice – cinnamon stick, optional

How to Make Cranberry Sauce

Add sugar to a saucepan.

Step 1

How to Make Cranberry Sauce

Pour in orange juice and bring to a boil over medium high to high heat. Stir frequently to help the sugar dissolve.

Step 2

How to Make Cranberry Sauce

Add cranberries  (and cinnamon stick, optional)  and return to a boil.

Step 3

How to Make Cranberry Sauce

Reduce heat to low and simmer. Stir frequently as the berries heat and make “pop” sounds, about 8 minutes.

Step 4

How to Make Cranberry Sauce

Remove from heat and remove cinnamon stick if you used it. Cool to room temperature or refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy!
