In a large bowl or stand mixer bowl, cream butter and granulated sugar.
Add egg and vanilla/orange extract. Mix in the dry ingredients. Refrigerate 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare cookie sheets.
Place granulated sugar in a bowl. Remove cookie dough from the refrigerator and roll into tablespoon sized balls, then into the sugar.
