Pumpkin Honey Bun Cake

Indulge your taste buds in the delightful flavors of fall with our irresistible Pumpkin Honey Bun Cake recipe. This cake is made with layers of moist honey bun cake, topped with a sweet and creamy glaze.

box yellow cake mix canola or vegetable oil eggs pumpkin pie spice sour cream canned pumpkin puree (not pie filling) brown sugar pecans, chopped powdered sugar milk vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9x13" baking dish with nonstick spray.

In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine the cake mix, oil, eggs, sour cream, pumpkin, and 1 1/2 teaspoons of the pumpkin pie spice.

In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, 1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice, and chopped pecans.

Beat until well combined. Spread half of the batter in the prepared pan (about 2 1/4 cups). Sprinkle brown sugar mixture evenly over batter, followed by the rest of the batter on top. Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

While the cake is baking, make the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.  Pour the glaze over warm cake. Spread out evenly and allow to cool so the glaze can set. Slice and enjoy!
