Pumpkin Spice French Toast

Pumpkin Spice French Toast is a delicious and festive fall breakfast that is sure to please everyone at the table. The warm aroma of cinnamon, and pumpkin spice will fill your kitchen as you cook, making it an ideal choice for cozy mornings or special occasions.

– Thick bread slices - (such as Texas Toast) – Milk – Eggs – Pumpkin puree – Vanilla extract – Ground cinnamon – Pumpkin pie spice – Brown sugar – Unsalted butter

In a shallow dish, whisk eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place each slice of bread into the egg mixture, about 20 seconds per side. Place on a wire rack, on top of a sheet pan or cooking sheet. Add a piece of parchment under the wire rack to catch egg drippings.

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the bread slices to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Once all slices are golden brown, place on a cooling rack or cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes.

Serve immediately with maple syrup, whipped cream, and fresh fruit, if desired.
