Top Tips
- Cut the cinnamon rolls into pieces-Quarter them so they bake evenly and create those delicious pockets of gooey cinnamon throughout the dish.
- Don’t mix the layers! The magic happens when everything bakes together as-is.
- Dot the top with butter-Adding thin slices or melted butter over the cake mix helps it brown and cook through—no dry patches!
- Serve warm-It’s at its gooey, cinnamon-swirled best right out of the oven.
- Let it cool for 5–10 minutes before serving so the layers can settle but stay deliciously gooey.
- Refrigerate in an airtight container for 3–4 days.
- Reheat individual portions in the microwave for 15–25 seconds to bring back the warm, gooey goodness.
- To freeze the cake, place slices in an airtight container, and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
