Christmas M&M Cookie Bars Recipe
Buttery Christmas M&M Cookie Bars are a fun and festive Christmas treat loaded with M&Ms, chocolate chips, and sprinkles. The soft, chewy texture and cheery holiday colors will make them a family favorite.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup Christmas M&M's
- ¾ cup mini chocolate chips, divided
- ¼ - ½ cup Christmas sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9 x 13″ baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil (spray aluminum with nonstick spray).
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar for 2-3 minutes.
- Mix in eggs and vanilla extract until combined.
- Add all purpose flour, salt, baking soda, and cornstarch, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in ¾ cup of M&M’s, ¾ cup of chocolate chips and ⅛-1/4 cup of sprinkles.
- Spread into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the rest of the M&M’s, chocolate chips, and sprinkles on top.
- Bake 30-35 minutes or until edges are golden and a toothpick in the center comes out clean. Cool completely, lift out of pan and slice. Enjoy!
