Easy Crock Pot Lava Cake Recipe
This super Easy Crock Pot Lava Cake is full of chocolate flavor and made from scratch right in your slow cooker. Top it with ice cream or whipped cream and no one can resist!
Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
Chocolate Lava
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 4 cups boiling water
Instructions
- Prepare a slow cooker with nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, cocoa, flour, baking powder and salt.
- Make a well in the center and pour in milk, melted butter, vanilla. Stir until combined.
- Spread the mixture into prepared slow cooker.
- Whisk together the brown sugar and cocoa powder.
- Sprinkle evenly over the cake mix in your slow cooker.
- Gently pour hot water over batter and topping. Cook on high for 2 hours or low for 3-4 hours.
- Test the cake until a toothpick in the center comes clean, with only a few moist crumbs. Spoon it out of the slow cooker, into bowls. There will be melted chocolate, like a gravy, to spoon over the baked cake and top it with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
