Halloween Dirt Cake Recipe
For your upcoming parties, try this tasty no-bake dessert recipe for Halloween Dirt Cake! A traditional dirt cake is given a spooky makeover with ghost Peeps, gummy worms, and your favorite Halloween candy.
Ingredients
- 19.1 oz package Oreos
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 16 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip)
- 2 3.4 oz packages Instant chocolate pudding
- 3 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- candy-Peeps, gummy worms, Milano cookies, candy corn/pumpkins
Instructions
- In a food processor or large Ziploc bag, crush ⅔ of the Oreos from Oreo package.
- Spread evenly in the bottom of a 9×13″ pan.
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine softened cream cheese and butter. Add in powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
- Fold in whipped topping until well incorporated.
- In another large bowl, whisk 2 boxes of instant pudding, milk and vanilla.
- Fold into the cream cheese mixture until combined well.
- Spread over the top of crushed Oreos.
- Crush the rest of the Oreo package (⅓). Sprinkle over top of the pudding mixture. Chill in refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
- Decorate with candy (Peeps, gummy worms, candy corn, pumpkins) before serving. You can also make a graveyard using Milano cookies and write on them with an edible foodwriter pen or writing gel. Scoop and enjoy!
