Easy Baked Ground Beef Stroganoff gives you a comforting and hearty dish perfect for a cozy night in or a family dinner. With its creamy sauce and tender beef, it's a classic that never goes out of style.
1-2cans (4 oz each)mushrooms (or 2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced)
2tablespoonworcestershire sauce
1(10.5 oz)can cream of mushroom soup
2cupssour cream
11 oz. packagedry onion soup mix
1 cupbeef broth
1cupcrispy french fried onions
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare a 9x13" baking dish with nonstick spray.
In a large skillet, cook and crumble the ground beef, over medium heat until it is no longer pink, drain any excess grease. Add minced garlic, plus fresh mushrooms and diced onions if using them, sautéing until onions are translucent. Season with salt and pepper, cooking for about 1 minute.
Cook noodles 1-2 minutes less then package directions. Drain. Add ½ cup butter to the pot and stir in the noodles. Set aside.
Stir in the canned mushrooms to the cooked ground beef (if you are using canned instead of fresh).
Mix in beef broth, onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, and worcestershire sauce, until well combined.
Remove from heat, add sour cream and stir to combine.
Mix buttered noodles with the beef mixture and combine well.
Pour noodles mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the top with crispy fried onions, then bake 20-25 minutes or until bubbly. Remove from the oven, rest about 5-10 minutes, then serve and enjoy!
