Slice of biscuits, chicken, BBQ and served from a black spatula

One of our favorite pizzas is a deep dish BBQ Chicken pizza from a local pizza place. This has the flavor of the pizza but semi-homemade and quick. I made this chicken alfredo bubble up and we loved it so much. I thought why not try this with barbecue sauce, bacon and red onions along with the chicken, biscuits and cheese. It seemed weird the first time I made a bubble up recipe but it really is just so easy and tasty that everyone will love it!

Top Tips

  • If desired, prepare the dish ahead of time and keep it refrigerated for up to 2 days. Prepare as you normally would, then cover and refrigerate until you are ready to cook it.
  • Cut the biscuits with either a knife, pizza cutter, or kitchen scissors. I have used them all and they all worked well.
  • Add in ½ teaspoon garlic salt, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, or 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning for added flavor.
  • One of the best ways to cook chicken for shredding, is in the Instant Pot. I place it in the Instant Pot, cover with 1 cup of chicken stock and any seasonings you like. Close the top and touch the Poultry setting. Once it beeps, shred the chicken with your hands, tongs, forks, anything that works for you.
