Lemon Bread is so easy to make and bursting with lemon flavor. It has a sweet lemon glaze on top of the moist bread and is perfect for any time of the day.
This is not your store bought lemon bread. It has a more intense lemon flavor than you usually would get, but it is delightfully refreshing. This is for lemon lover's taste buds with the sweetness and tanginess. Lemon is versatile where you can put it in desserts, meats, drinks, and it always just adds so much to a recipe. - Baking powder

Tips
- Bread will keep in an airtight container on your countertop for up to 5 days. Do not place into the refrigerator, as it will make it dry out.
- If you find the lemon flavor to be too intense, you can cut back some on the zest or the lemon glaze.
- Do not overmix the batter, as it can make the bread more dense.
- If you want to make this a gluten-free bread, switch out the all-purpose flour for your gluten-free flour.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare your 9x5" bread loaf pan with floured spray or parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk flour, salt, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, mix sour cream, oil, sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, eggs, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Do not overmix or the bread may become too dense.
- Spread the batter evenly into your prepared pan.
- Bake in preheated oven 50-60 minutes, or until golden brown and toothpick comes out clean. Remove and allow to cool about 20 minutes before removing the bread and placing it on a wire rack to continue cooling.
- Make your lemon glaze by whisking lemon juice and powdered sugar.
- Pour the glaze over the bread, once it is completely cool, then spread to cover.
- Allow to harden for 15-20 minutes and sprinkle more lemon zest on top, if wanted.
